Privacy Policy

Rally exists so a group can gather its photos in one private place. Keeping those photos private is the point — so we collect as little as possible and never sell what we hold. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect and why.
The short version: Your rallies are invite-only. We don't run ads, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your content or your account at any time.

1. Information we collect
We aim to collect only what's needed to run a shared album well. That falls into a few buckets:
- Account details — the name you choose and, if you sign in with email, your email address. That's how members recognize each other inside a rally.
- Content you add — the photos, videos, and captions you contribute to a rally, along with basic file information such as capture time.
- Rally details — the names, dates, and places you set for the rallies you create or join.
- App activity — limited technical logs (crashes, performance) that help us keep the app stable. These aren't used to profile you.
2. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Show your photos to the other members of a rally, in original quality.
- Sync new content across the group's devices as it's added.
- Auto-save photos to your camera roll — but only if you turn that setting on.
- Keep the app secure, diagnose problems, and improve how it works.
We do not use your photos to train advertising models, and we do not build a marketing profile of you.
3. Who can see your photos
A rally is a closed room. Content you add to a rally is visible to the people invited to that rally and to no one else. There is no public feed, no follower graph, and no discovery surface where strangers can find your albums.
When you leave a rally, you keep any originals you've saved to your own device, and you stop having access to the shared album going forward.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers — trusted vendors (for example, cloud storage) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — when we're required by law to respond to a valid legal request.
- With your direction — when you choose to share a rally or export your photos.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account and rallies are active. When you delete a photo, a rally, or your account, we remove the associated content from active systems and from backups on a rolling schedule.
6. Your rights and controls
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Inside Rally you can already:
- Edit your profile and the name that appears to others.
- Delete individual photos you've added.
- Leave a rally, or delete a rally you own.
- Turn auto-save to your camera roll on or off, per rally.
To make a formal request, contact us at the address below.
7. Children
Rally is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
8. Changes & contact
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Questions about privacy? Reach us at privacy@rallyatx.com.
